Artist Statement:

Knowledge is luring. The pursuit of self-betterment, of education and innovation, has enraptured the mind since the discovery of fire. Like the flame, it is an all-consuming passion that drives humans forward with little heed of its burns. Enflamed by the chase, the idea eats at those around it. Morals wither in its flames, eyes close to its infectious rot, and the seeds from which the idea originated produce a tree of rotten apples.
